Each program follows the same architecture — the eleven principles, the color and motion tokens, the voice glossary, the test. The Immersion compresses it into three days of in-person work. The Certification breathes it out across thirty self-paced days. The Master Course holds both.

Day 1

Diagnosing the alarm.

We begin by reading the products you already use — and naming what each surface is asking your nervous system to do. By dusk, you can no longer un-see the grammar.

Day 2

The eleven principles in the hand.

A full working day in the canon. You draft tokens, set type, design the cursor falling into a serif, and learn the motion math of the resting exhale.

  • Motion curves at exhale pace
  • The Hush — building the focused composition surface
Day 3

Renaming the world.

The final day moves from visual into language. You rewrite a database schema by what it does to a body. You ship one surface and run it through the seven-question test.

Week 01

Foundations & the canon.

You receive the codified spec, walk the eleven principles slowly, and begin a daily reading practice across the source canon.

Week 02

Type, motion, color in the hand.

Practical reproduction work. By the end of the week, you can render the color and motion tokens without reference.

Week 03

Voice, the Hush, and shipping.

Language work, focused-composition design, and the first of two surface submissions. Your voice is matched against the canonical glossary.

Week 04 · Examination

Capacity to reproduce.

The certification examination. You render the canon by hand — tokens, principles, voice, motion, the seven-question test — from your own body, without reference. Pass, and you are Luminous Design Certified.

Immersion + Certification · $4,500

The full path,
walked once.

For the designer ready to make this their grammar — not a reference.

The Master Course holds both programs as one continuous arc. You begin in the three-day immersion in person, then carry the practice directly into the thirty-day certification with private faculty correspondence the whole way through. At the end of the path, you submit one shipped surface — a real interface you build, run through the seven-question test from the canon — for direct critique from the founding faculty.

Graduates of the Master Course are listed in the school's standing index, are invited to teach future cohorts, and are the first to receive new chapters of the canon as they are codified.
